Tullamore Credit Union teams up with Offaly County Council on housing front

TULLAMORE Credit Union is thrilled to announce a new complimentary initiative which will support successful applicants availing of Housing Aid Grants administered by Offaly County Council.

The complimentary funding support by loan offered by Tullamore Credit Union is designed to support the Housing Adaption Grants for Older Persons and Disabled Persons, through an Unsecured Aided Home Improvement Loan designed to assist individuals and families across Tullamore Credit Union’s Common Bond in improving their homes and quality of life.

This complementary initiative, which was originally proposed by Councillor Tony McCormack back in October 2024, which now sees Tullamore Credit Union offering an Unsecured Aided Home Improvement Loan to eligible applicants who have received a grant or partial funding through the Council’s Housing Aid Grant Program. This additional loan support helps cover the remaining cost of essential home improvements or additional costs not covered by the grant, enabling more people to complete vital works with confidence and ease.

Housing Aid Grants, available through Offaly County Council, provide financial assistance for works that enhance safety, accessibility, and comfort within the home. If you have already received grant approval, this additional financial support is available to you. Tullamore Credit Union is proud to support its members availing of these specific grants to make these necessary upgrades more accessible to local residents.
