WATCH: Offaly fire service tackles fire at council facility in Tullamore

Blaze in County Council yard in Tullamore under control this evening

THE fire service was called to a fire at a site off Cormac Street in Tullamore on Thursday evening.

Units of the Offaly fire brigade extinguished a blaze in a building in a County Council yard located up a side street just south of the town centre.

Two units tackled the fire earlier on Thursday evening as smoke rose from a warehouse on the site.

The building where the fire broke out is on a site close to Tullamore courthouse and adjacent to the business park in Kilcruttin off the Spollanstown road.
