Met Eireann weather forecast for Ireland with wet and windy weather on the way
Ireland is in for unsettled weather in the coming days and up to the weekend with spells of rain and strong winds in the latest Met Eireann weather forecast.
According to the Met Eireann weather forecast for Ireland, Wednesday will start off mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain, which will gradually clear northeastwards, but will linger in northern areas. Brighter weather will follow from the southwest for a time. But more rain will move up over Munster in the evening. Highest temperatures of 8 to 12 degrees with moderate northwest breezes.
There will be patchy rain and drizzle about on Wednesday night with some mist and fog forming as winds fall light over land. Lowest temperatures of between 4 and 7 degrees.
According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast for Ireland, any patches of mist or drizzle will clear early on Thursday to leave a mix of cloud, sunny spells and a few showers. During the afternoon, rain will spread across Munster, extending nationwide during the evening and turning heavy in places. Maximum temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees but a little cooler in north Ulster. Fresh and gusty southeast winds will develop during the course of the day.
Breezy on Thursday night with outbreaks of rain clearing north to scattered showers. Minimum temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees with fresh to strong and gusty southerly winds.
According to Met Eireann, the weather will be mild and windy on Friday with sunny spells and showers, some of the showers may be heavy and thundery. Maximum temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees in strong and gusty southerly winds.
Rain and showers on Friday night with some heavy downpours possible bringing the chance of spot flooding. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees in strong and gusty southerly winds.
According to Met Eireann, it looks set to be a breezy day on Saturday with a spell of rain pushing northeastwards over Ireland followed by sunny spells and showers. Maximum temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees in fresh and gusty south or southwest winds. Clear spells and scattered blustery showers on Saturday night. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees in fresh southwest winds.
Met Eireann concludes its latest forecast by stating that current indications are for a bright and blustery day on Sunday with sunshine and scattered showers. Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in strong southwest winds.
