New categories in Offaly village's revived St Patrick's Day parade

ST PAT'S 3

Mountbolus has revived its St Patrick's Day parade

Mountbolus St Patrick's Day Parade will be back on March 17th and is bigger and better than ever. It has been a long wait since the last Parade in 2019 and people are looking forward to getting out and enjoying St Patrick's Day. This year there will see all the usual categories and some new categories

Including best vintage, historical, and environmental entrants aswell as a 'Topical / current news category and best single person entry.

There will be two perpetual trophies to be won, the overall best float and the Paul Daly perpetual trophy. A new feature of the Parade this year will be our Grand Master  who will cut the ribbon to start the Parade. We are very fortunate to have an All Ireland winning captain to fill that berth Cathal Donoghue. Cathal was captain of our victorious u20 footballers in an All Ireland final where he gave a man of the match performance.

Refreshments will be served in the hall after mass and prior to the Parade starting at 11.30 sharp.

All entries are free.

Many thanks in advance to everyone who has helped out with the preparations for the Parade and all those who will take part  on the Day itself. So c0ome along and enjoy the feast of St. Patrick at Parade in Mountbolus
