Offaly FRS recruitment receives EU business award
Offaly’s FRS Recruitment has received an EU business award, being named Best IT Recruitment Company in the Republic of Ireland. The honour was announced as part of the European Enterprise Awards, presented by EU Business News.
FRS experienced a surge in demand for their IT recruitment division in 2021. The total job postings handled by the firm grew by approximately 30% with the number of IT recruiters growing from 7 to 19 specialists over the course of the year.
FRS Recruitment is one of the leading recruitment businesses operating in Ireland. As well as their IT team they provide assistance across a wide range of sectors, including commercial, healthcare, construction, agricultural, life sciences and engineering sectors as well as temporary industrial and commercial positions.
Last year they recorded a 30% increase in the number of roles handled in Offaly, with further growth forecast for 2022.
A 100% owned Irish business, FRS Recruitment is part of FRS Network – the social enterprise co-operative. As well as their Offaly office they also run operations in 9 other locations around the country including Dublin, Cork, Galway, Tipperary, Limerick, Kerry, Kilkenny, Cavan and Roscommon.
The European Enterprise Awards this year focused on acknowledging businesses who over the course of the pandemic weathered “the storm of economic uncertainty and continuously enhance their products and/ or services to appeal to a global audience.” In selecting the recipients of the awards, the organisers “consider an organisation’s achievements over the past 12 months, as well as its’ reputation amongst its’ peers and, most importantly, the company’s presence within the European market.”
Speaking after receiving the award, Lynne McCormack, General Manager of FRS Recruitment said, “We are honoured to receive this award and to have been named Best IT Recruitment Company in Ireland. The last year have been a tremendously busy and effective period for our IT division. The demand for IT roles has risen extensively over that time, which saw the total number of IT roles we co-ordinated jump by 30% over the course of 2021 – a trend we expect to continue well into 2022.
“Thankfully our IT recruitment division knows how to innovate and to make sure they can source quality candidates even in very competitive markets. As is the case for all the various sectors and industries we work with, FRS Recruitment doesn’t just wait for the candidates to apply, we go and find the right people to match with the opportunity,” she added.
Her remarks were echoed by Darragh O’Brien, Head of IT with FRS Recruitment who said, “We know that successful recruitment is more than just connecting people with the relevant skills with open positions, it's also about making sure it is the right fit for both the employer and the candidate. Ensuring that this connection exists has always been at the centre of the FRS Recruitment approach. It was great to see that outlook, our strong level of service and innovative approach to recruitment honoured by the European Enterprise Awards,” he concluded.
