Decontamination Technical Services Ltd with Councillor Oliver Bryant, Orla Martin LEO and others at the National Enterprise Awards
Congratulations have been extended to a Tullamore based company on winning the 2025 National Enterprise Award for the Midlands Region.
At the June meeting of Tullamore Municipal District, Councillor Oliver Bryant said he attended the awards at the Mansion House when Decontamination Technical Services Ltd, who operate out of Castle Buildings scooped the award.
Cllr Bryant said the company is owned by local man Dermot Smyth, who is also a client of the Local Enterprise Office (LEO).
''This was a huge achievement as all principal towns were represented on the night,'' said Cllr Bryant. ''This is not just a reflection on his company but also the LEO office and staff within the county council. I want to acknowledge that and their achievements,'' he added.
''Only last Monday the Minister for state and public procurement, Minister Emer O'Higgins, was in the Aras at that meeting. All of the small and medium businesses spoke of the support they got from the LEO office. So I would just like to acknowledge the work that the staff do,'' concluded Cllr Bryant.
Councillor Declarn Harvey, added that he had attended a local community development meeting which received an update from the LEO office. ''They do great work. One thing they do is get back to people. They monitor people and they choose people well. The success they are having is unreal. I brought in clients to them myself. I want to say well done to all the team up there, well done and that is coming from the Tullamore Municipal District.''
In a quote on social media Orla Martin of the LEO office said in relation to the win by Decontamination Technical Services, ''we are proud and privileged to work with such talented entrepreneurs as they start and grow their businesses ~ and are truly delighted when they succeed.''
