AN Offaly man has expressed his thanks to the people who stopped to support his vigil outside PTSB in Portlaoise on Monday.

A number of people stopped to say “well done” and “it’s time the issue was raised”.
"Also a bit thank you to the Gardai who stopped by to enquire about my vigil and wish me well," he added.
Tom Roche - a native of Tullamore now living in Rhode - held his 5th vigil outside a PTSB branch on the day,
Mr Roche, who is protesting the repossession of his home and sale of his distressed mortgage to a Vulture Fund, has already held vigils in Tullamore, Mullingar, Athlone and Longford.
He travelled to the Four Courts in Dublin on Wednesday of this week as part of the "Enough Is Enough Campaign - the March for Justice".
Next Monday he moves his vigil onto the PTSB branch in Carlow.
