The family of the late Presbyterian Minister, the Rev. Girvan McKay, who passed away earlier this month, have written to the Editor of the Tullamore Tribune paying tribute to the team at Tullamore Hospital for the care he received prior to his death.

In her letter, the late Rev. McKay's wife, Máire, writes:

Dear Editor,

Concerning my husband Girvan's, (the late Rev. Girvan McKay), stay in Tullamore Hospital before Christmas and on the day of his death, January 9 last, I would like to praise all the hospital staff for their excellent care of him before Christmas, and subsequently, when Somhairle and I were at his deathbed.
I cannot thank them all enough and would like the people of Tullamore to know what an excellent hospital and staff we have here in the town.
Our family is extremely grateful; I'm sure the staff get very tired working such long hours, and many of them away from their families in other lands.

Yours, etc.,
Máire McKay,
Clonminch Road,
Tullamore.
