LARISSA 2

Larissa Tormey has released a single for Christmas

For years,  Larissa Tormey  has performed a cherished tradition of performing the timeless classic,  “In the Bleak Midwinter”  at various Christmas events. However, this year marked a special turning point as the artist decided to immortalise this beautiful piece of music and release it as a Christmas single.

"I've carried the sentiment of 'In The Bleak Midwinter' with me for years, singing it annually at Christmas events. It felt like the perfect time to commit it to a recording,"  expresses Larissa, reflecting on the significance of this traditional carol.
Renowned multi-instrumentalist and producer Kevin Whyms lent his expertise to the production of this track, skillfully enriching it with his emotive guitar playing. The collaboration has resulted in a rendition that showcases the essence of folk music while adding a contemporary flair.
Larissa will also continue her folk and singer-songwriter music journey by starting the New Year with a concert alongside PJ Murrihy on January 26th at Tuar Ard, Moate. This follows the success of their duet,  I Wish I Had Someone to Love Me, which was featured on Murrihy's latest album and stands as Larissa's most viewed video on YouTube, showcasing their musical chemistry and mutual passion for folk music.
Expressing her gratitude, Larissa has extended a heartfelt  “thank-you!”  to the DJs who have been sharing her music both within Ireland and abroad, contributing to Larissa’s decade-long musical journey. The artist also looks forward to celebrating her 10th anniversary in the music business in 2024, a testament to her dedication and passion for creating music that resonates.
“I hope to have you all as music friends for at least another 10 years! And I am wishing all the very best and Happy Christmas and A Very Happy New Year to all the DJs and, of course, to all my dedicated fans, who I am very grateful to!”
Join Larissa in celebrating the holiday season with her beautifully evocative rendition of In The Bleak Midwinter, available at all streaming platforms from 18th of December.

Christmas with Jessika

British-born, New York-based singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer  Jessika  has shared the official music video for her brand new original song,  “Chrsitmas Without You”,, which explores the theme of being apart from a loved one during the festive season.
“‘Christmas Without  You’ is a special song,”  shares Jessika.  “It’s for anyone who is missing someone at this time of year. It’s a song for the lonely hearts.”
Adding to a list of increasingly high-profile media appearances, Jessika recently appeared on BBC Radio 2 with Scott Mills, and on ITV to discuss her new release.
Christmas Without You, which was released alongside her version of the holiday favourite  Last Christmas,  follows the release of Jessika’s debut album  World Ain’t Ready  in August via BMG, which has already accumulated over one million streams. Tracks from the album have been added to MTV’s Spankin’ New list, and received acclaim from Billboard plus airplay from SiriusXM and BBC Radio London, among others.
World Ain’t Ready,  written by Jessika and co-produced with Kyle Kelso (Kygo, Aloe Blacc, Galantis), is a testament to the resilience, passion, and extraordinary circumstances that shaped her artistic vision.
Raised in Birmingham, UK, before moving to Cornwall with her family, JESSIKA spent several years touring the country and building a reputation as an ‘artist to watch’.
After deciding to focus on her career as a singer and songwriter, she booked a one way ticket to London, and arriving with nothing more than her guitar, a few clothes and just enough money to get by, she found a small room in the heart of Soho and took the first steps on a musical journey that would eventually take her all the way to New York City.
Before she’d even signed her first publishing deal, JESSIKA spent two years on the road sharing stages with Hozier, Paulo Nutini, The Killers, The Arctic Monkeys, Ellie Goulding, Van Morrison, Keane, and Paloma Faith, among others; and had co-written and featured on a dance hit with Andy Moor and Armin Van Buuren.
Her debut album  World Ain’t Ready  is available now worldwide.
