Offaly Fianna Fáil overwhelmingly endorses local TD's Euro bid

Barry Cowen to seek party nomination to contest European Parliament elections

An Offaly Fianna Fáil TD received an overwhelming endorsement for his European elections ambitions from the packed crowd in attendance at a meeting of the party recently

Deputy Barry Cowen announced last month he will seek the Fianna Fáil nomination to run in the European Elections in June 2024.

Deputy Cowen hopes to be a candidate for the Midlands North West constituency, to which the constituency of Laois/Offaly has returned to. 

Said a statement from Offaly Fianna Fail: “Barry Cowen has been a wonderful hard working TD since 2011 and, no doubt if successful by first winning the nomination of the Fianna Fáil Party,he would win a seat and would become a wonderful member of the European Parliament and would continue that hard work of the area.  “

“The  Fianna Fáil organisation in Offaly is really delighted to fully endorse Barry's candidacy and look forward to helping him achieve this goal for the betterment of Laois/Offaly and the Midlands North-West  European constituency,” concluded the statement.
