Pearl Scally with her special cake celebrating her 50th parkrun
A very blustery morning greeted the runners and walkers at Mountlucas windfarm, last Saturday, for the weekly Mountlucas Parkrun.
It was a special day for nine year old Pearl Scally, who completed her 50th Parkrun on the morning. Pearl, with her mum Mairead, are regular volunteers and parkrun participants at Mountlucas. She was joined by her family and friends to help celebrate this particular milestone and she was also presented with a special cake, celebrating her achievement.
Parkrun is a free weekly timed 5k event for runners and walkers that takes place every Saturday morning at more than 2,000 locations in 23 Countries across the world.
Mountlucas Parkrun is based at Bord na Móna Mountlucas Wind farm outside Daingean, so why not turn up at 9.30 am on any Saturday morning to see what it is all about.
