Michael celebrates milestone at Offaly parkrun

The rain just about held off for Mountlucas parkrun no. 214 recentlywith 70 people taking part and volunteering, along with two dogs.

Michael Kearney, a Mountlucas regular celebrated his 100th run. He was joined by his son Dennis and daughter Michelle who supported him along the way. The 100th milestone is all the more impressive in that Michael completed his first parkrun on the day Mountlucas parkrun celebrated its 100th   run.

Parkrun is a free weekly timed 5k event for runners and walkers that takes place every Saturday morning at more than 2,000 locations in 23 Countries across the world.

Mountlucas Parkrun is based at Mountlucas Wind farm outside Daingean, so why not turn up at 9.30 am on Saturday morning to see what it is all about.
