Nominations sought for Laois/ Offaly garda youth awards

THE Laois/Offaly Garda Youth Awards 2023 will celebrate outstanding young people between 13 and 21 years of age, and will recognise the good work they are doing throughout their communities.
The Garda Youth Awards celebrate the contributions of young people, both individually and as part of groups. The awards will be bestowed in four different categories including an Individual award, a Group award, a Special Achievement award for a person who has defied the odds to overcome a difficult situation and a Community Safety award recognising a crime prevention initiative that has contributed to making a community a safer place to live and work in.
The organisers are encouraging members of the public to submit their nominations for deserving young people across Laois and Offaly who have contributed positively in their local communities or who have shown great determination in their own lives.
The closing date for nominations is noon on Friday 24th February 2023.

Completed forms should be emailed to laoisoffaly gardayouth awards @garda.ie or dropped to your local Community Policing Garda at Portlaoise, Tullamore or Birr Garda Stations.
Award winners will be celebrated at a special event on March 23 in the Killeshin Hotel, Portlaoise.
