Killeigh School Boys Girls Soccer Club held their annual monster Draw in Grennans on The Green, Killeigh on Saturday last.
A great crowd turned out in the local establishment and Chairperson Mickey Feery welcomed everyone to the annual event.
Mickey thanked all those who sold tickets over the last four weeks and everyone who gave their free time to help out the annual fundraiser.
Mickey thanked Willie and Carol Grennan, the hosts for the evening and also thanked all the prize sponsors, who without their help and support, not just for this Draw but all during the year ensures that we can provide facilities and football for hundreds of children around the area.
A full list of winners are available on the club's Facebook page.
Club Recognition Award
The club presents this award every year to someone who has played or contributed to the club in the past.
This year our recipient was Morgan Tynan.
Morgan started his schoolboy playing career with Killeigh School Boys Girls Soccer Club at eight years of age and progressed up through the age groups. Morgan played both in midfield and forwards scoring twenty plus goals a season.
He represented Killeigh and the Midland School Boys & Girls League with great distinction winning a Leinster u12 medal and playing in the Kennedy Cup Finals where the team reached the bowl final but was narrowly beaten by Kilkenny.
Morgan was also a recipient of Killeigh School Boys Girls Soccer Clubs Mark Casey Excellence Award. Having finished his school boy days, Morgan concentrated on his GAA career where he went on to represent his county and his club Ballinagar who he captained to league and county final success this year after a thirty year drought.
The club would like to thank Morgan for the memories and wish him all the best in the future.
