Darragh Rusk, Tom O'Rourke, Sasha Coleman, Lucy O'Rourke.
THERE was success for Offaly students at the Connaught Schools' Swimming Championship in Castlebar last Sunday.
Darragh Rusk and Tom O 'Rourke represented their school Colaiste Cholim. Lucy O' Rourke represented Mucklagh School. Sasha Coleman represented Gallen Ferbane Secondary School.
Darragh swam Senior and came 2nd 400 Freestyle , 3rd Backstroke. Tom swam Junior and came 2nd 100 free and 200 IM. Darragh and Tom because of finishing in the top two have been picked on the Connacht Team to swim at the Schools Interpros in March which is a great achievement.
Well done also to Lucy and Sasha who swam PB in their events. Sasha just missed out on a third place. All the swimmers train with Athlone Swim Club under their coach Johnny Powell.
