Two people died in separate road traffic collisions yesterday (December 16).
Gardaí attended the scene of a single vehicle collision yesterday at approximately 5.05pm on the R619 near Dromahane, Co Cork, where a man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was the driver and sole occupant of the only vehicle involved.
The second collision - involving a male pedestrian and a van - occurred on the N25 at Killinick, Co.Wexford shortly after 5pm yesterday evening.
The pedestrian, a man aged in his 80s, was taken to Wexford General Hospital where he later passed away from his injuries.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to either collision to come forward.
They are also appealing for any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the areas at the time.
