NCT testers show pictures of cars refused at test centres in warning to drivers

NCT testers have shared pictures of cars refused for a test as centres around Ireland in a warning to others.

Not many people know that testers can refuse to even test a car if it is in a state of disrepair, including excessively dirty on the inside. 

The NCT website states that the your car must be "reasonably clean" when presented for a test, "particularly the underbody" but the rule applies to the inside too.

NCTS recently took to social media to warn drivers that their cars may not be taken if not clean.

They said: "Before your NCT, give your car a makeover and make sure your ride is clean! Nobody wants to see your leftover tissues or cigarette butts. Let's keep it clean for its NCT inspection!"
