Focus Ireland have launched its Voter Registration Drive Campaign on March 26th in the GPO in Dublin.
With support from An Post, using their Addresslink service. This will provide a psotal address and eircode to those that are homeless, allowing them to register and partake in upcoming elections. This event will encourage political engagement by people who are homeless or are at risk of people homeless and allow all Irish voices to be heard in the election.
Focus Ireland believe in the power that every person's vote has power and every voice should be heard.
The campaign hopes to secure an additional 2-3 thousand extra votes in the upcoming election.
Voter participation in marginalised groups generally have a lower turnout, these are the people who are most dependent on the services of the state and who are most affected by decisions made by the elected officials.
