Beautiful Cloghan Hall celebrated its 75th birthday last week.
The popular and greatly valued venue also held an open evening on Saturday 20th September during which the organisers showcased what work had been done in the hall & what are the plans going forward for the premises.
During the 75th anniversary gathering, people reminisced about some of the events held in the Hall over the years. Seán Mahon with his wife Mary and son Raymond reminisced about a number of the "great evenings" which took place.
Chairperson Bridie Wynne and secretary Mary Wynne also discussed their many fondly held memories.
Seán celebrated his 83rd birthday last week and also his and Mary’s 51st wedding anniversary. Born and raised in Cloghan, Seán was always very active and involved in all matters concerning the village down through the years.
