Roscrea Trail Blazers in Madeira
Almost two months into 2025 and already Roscrea Trail Blazers club have been to the island of Madeira off the coast of Portugal.
A group of 14 had a fantastic week exploring this very tropical and lush island. Well done to everyone that made the effort to see this magical island.
They have a packed 2025 ahead with several trips overseas and a lot of challenge walks over the coming months. The walk last Thursday night was the Kinnitty Castle/Glinsk Castle Loop in the Slieve Blooms, a perfect night for walking with clear skies filled with stars. Well done to everyone that made the effort.
The walk this Thursday night February 27th sees the club heading back to the Lough Boora Parklands. Distance 9.5km, Grade Easy/Moderate, Time two hours. Meeting at the Lough Boora Parklands carpark at 7.30pm. Please bring head torch.
The next weekend walk will be the Inistioge Loop on the River Nore on Sunday next March 2nd. They would encourage anyone thinking of taking up hiking for better health or as a way to destress to please make contact with the number below.
