STORM DUDLEY: Met Eireann updates weather warnings as Storm Dudley tracks towards Ireland
Met Eireann has updated its Weather Warnings for Ireland with Storm Dudley set to hit the country on Wednesday and Thursday.
Met Eireann initially issued Weather Warnings for parts of Ireland but has now updated its warnings to cover all of Ireland.
A Status Orange Wind Warning has been issued for Donegal. Met Éireann is warning that westerly winds associated with Storm Dudley will reach mean speeds of 65 – 80km/h with damaging gusts of 100 – 130km/h, stronger on exposed coasts and on high ground. A combination of high tide and strong winds will lead to some coastal flooding. That warning will be in place from 9am on Wednesday until 9pm on Thursday.
It’s a quiet start to the week but our weather will turn much more unsettled by mid-week as #StormDudley brings strong winds on Wednesday and #StormEunice brings further strong winds along with heavy rain and possibly snow.️❄️
