More settled weather is ahead for Ireland this week although there is also frost and fog also in the latest Met Eireann forecast
After a lengthy spell of wet and windy weather, Met Eireann is forecasting a more settled week ahead. According to Met Eireann, the weather will turn quite settled with slacker winds and patchy rain or drizzle at times, while temperatures will be a near average generally.
According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast for Ireland, it will be generally dry and sunny on Monday with just isolated showers, mostly near western and northern Atlantic coasts. Highest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees, coolest across the east and northeast. Moderate to fresh northwesterly winds will ease off light and variable by evening.
Monday night will be cold and generally dry with a varying amount of cloud and clear spells. Lowest temperatures of 0 to 5 degrees with some frost possible locally. In light variable winds mist and fog will develop also, and may become dense in places.
On Tuesday morning mist and fog will be slow to clear the northern half of the country but otherwise it will be generally dry with a mix of cloud and clear spells. Highest temperatures of 6 to 11 degrees, remaining coolest where fog persists in light southerly breezes. Rain and breezier conditions will develop in the southwest during the evening.
Tuesday night will see a mix of cloud and clear spells, cloudiest in the west where some patchy outbreaks of rain will develop in moderate to fresh southeast winds. It will be drier and brighter to the east where winds will also be lighter and it will be coolest with lowest temperatures of 3 to 8 degrees generally.
Mostly cloudy on Wednesday with the best of the brighter spells in the south. Some patchy outbreaks of rain are possible, mostly near northwest coast. Highest temperatures around 8 to 11 degrees in light to moderate southeast winds.
Met Eireann says that while it will be mostly dry with good clear spells on Wednesday night, some isolated patches of drizzle are possible near southern and eastern coasts. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 5 degrees in mostly light southeasterly breezes.
Thursday will see sunny spells and some patchy outbreaks of rain or drizzle at times. Highest temperatures around 7 to 11 degrees in light easterly breezes.
Met Eireann says that uncertainty grows towards the weekend with some outbreaks of rain at times in the south and west but it will be generally settled but cooler in moderate easterly winds.
