An Offaly man was in the eye of the storm with the Benalmádena floods.
John Scanlon, along with his wife, Siobhan, own 'Scanlon's Shamrock Bar', a bar and grill, located between the windmill roundabout, and Las Arenas hotel in Benalmádena, Málaga, Spain.
The owner took to the business' Facebook page to assure customers the he and his team were safe, amid the terrifying storm, stating, "We are all safe and well with minimal damage. Storm Dana really wreaked havoc!"
"Here in Benalmádena, we had horrendous torrential rains with unbelievable continuous lightning and deafening overhead thunder, but we are relatively untouched in comparison with some parts of the country," he added, thankfully.
