Suspended prison sentence for man who broke windows of political party's office in Offaly

TWO windows were damaged at the Fianna Fáil Constituency Office in Edenderry, last week's Tullamore Court was told.

Christopher Holt, 29 Castleview Park, Edenderry, committed the offence on January 31, 2024, at the office on 1 JKL Street,

Edenderry. The damage caused was approximately €2000 and the injured party was former Fianna Fáil Councillor Robert McDermott.

Barrister David Nugent told the court that his client wants to compensate the injured party by calling to the constituency office once a week and paying €50 on each occasion.

Judge Andrew Cody convicted and sentenced the defendant to three months imprisonment, suspending the sentence for three years, own bond €100.
