An eagle-eyed RTE Fair City viewer has thrown up a major question with the show in the shape of an important detail that's been missing for years.

The popular RTE soap still attracts hundreds of thousands of viewers every week but one viewer posed a question that got people talking this week.

Taking to the Fair City News & Spoilers group of Facebook, the viewer described what he had noticed as "one of life's greatest mysteries."

He explained: "I would Just like to ask who actually does the cooking in Paul’s bistro? He’s always in a suit or at the tables or at the till, so who else works there. Is it little gremlins?"

Other views were quick to agree with someone else pointing out they "never hear a sound coming from the tiny little kitchen."

Another added: "I always wonder this too."

Spotting another odd feature in Vino's, a third fan wrote: "Well, they must be super bakers cos [sic] that same fruit flan is in that cabinet at the till with 20 years and still 'fresh'."

"I just always wondered how it is kept going on 5 tables of 2. And Paul is always fighting with everyone," another bemused viewer asked.

One person cut through all of the comments with a simple reply: "It’s pretend, they don’t need a cook."
