Offaly man loses house in devastating fire but community is rallying for him PIC: GoFundMe
A fundraiser to help an Offaly man whose house was destroyed in a fire last month is heading towards €15,000.
Aidan Bryant lost his house in a fire on February 16 but friends are hoping to raise €70,000 to help him rebuild his life.
A GoFundMe page has been established and has already raised over €12,000. The target for the fundraiser is €70,000.
The fundraiser reads: "Hi folks - We are looking for people who are willing to support Aidan Bryant from Offaly to get his house back together again after a devastating fire.
"In late 2023 Aidan had just finished renovations in his home preparing for his retirement in a couple of years but this was all destroyed by the fire and unfortunately the house was not insured.
"Aidan lost all his possessions plus many family items of sentimental value.
"We need to get Aidan back into his home as soon as possible and help him make new memories. Your support is very much appreciated."
