After Storm Isha and Storm Jocelyn wreaked havoc across the country, Ireland is now bracing itself for the impact of Storm Ingunn today, as powerful winds sweep across the country, prompting weather warnings.
Storm Ingunn has prompted a series of Red Weather Warnings in Norway and while the powerful storm is skirting north of Ireland, Met Éireann has issued a yellow wind warning for several counties. The UK Met Office has also raised alerts for specific regions in Northern Ireland and Scotland
The affected Irish counties, including Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, and Sligo, are under a yellow wind warning from 8am until 1pm this Wednesday.
Residents are advised to take necessary precautions as strong and gusty southwest winds are expected.
"Storm Ingunn is a named storm which was named today by the Met Service of Norway. They have issued Red Warnings for parts of Norway with dangerous winds expected!"
