David McCormack, AIB's new Chief People Officer
AIB has announced the appointment of Toomevara’s David McCormack as Chief People Officer, Geraldine Casey as Managing Director Retail Banking and Graham Fagan as Chief Technology Officer.
Each took up their roles in October, with David and Graham joining Geraldine on the Group’s Executive Committee.
Toomevara's David McCormack has over 20 years' experience in human resources, most recently as Deputy Chief People Officer at AIB, and prior to that held the role of Head of HR in AIB UK for a number of years.
He has been responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of many significant
programmes aligning employees to the strategic and cultural ambition of the Group. He led the development and implementation of the hybrid working model for AIB’s people, while enhancing the diversity agenda in AIB, leading to Gold accreditation from the Irish Centre for Diversity last year.
AIB Group Chief Executive Colin Hunt said: “David brings decades of people-centred innovation and support to the Chief People Officer role. He has helped drive significant cultural change to make AIB a better place to work for our people, and I’m sure he will do so for years to come. I wish David the best of luck as he works every day to support our 3.2 million customers, and our 9,500 people”.
