Ireland Weather: Met Eireann holds out hope for improvement in weather in latest weather forecast for Ireland
Met Eireann is holding out hope for an improvement in the weather for Ireland in its latest weather forecast.
While the weather is forecast to stay changeable and mixed for the next two weeks, in its latest monthly forecast, Met Eireann does say that there could be an improvement for parts of the country on the first week of August.
According to Met Eireann, this week will remain 'changeable and mixed' with some bright spells and showers through Wednesday and Thursday with temperatures generally in the high teens. Friday, Saturday and Sunday will also see spells of rain, showers and some brighter spells.
In its forecast for next week, Met Eireann states that the current signals are for unsettled weather to continue as low pressure dominates bringing further spells of rain and showers, with rainfall totals forecast to be above average for this time of year, particularly in the southern half of the country. Mean air temperatures are expected to remain slightly below average.

While Met Eireann says there is less confidence for the forecast for the first week of August, there is a slight indication for lower pressure over the eastern half of the country and higher pressure to the southwest centred out in the Atlantic. The mean air temperature is signalling to be normal for this time of year. Precipitation amounts are signalled to be lower than average over much of the country which will make a nice change.
