Flag ceremony at Offaly school as it receives second Active Flag

Scoil Nàisiunta Naomh Eoin, Rath received their second Active Flag this year and held a flag ceremony at the school recently.

SCOIL Nàisiunta Naomh Eoin, Rath received their second Active Flag this year and held a flag ceremony at the school recently.

It was a very proud day in the school as they have worked very hard to receive this flag spurred on by Ms Howell, Ms Maher and the Active School Committee.

Scoil Nàisiunta Naomh Eoin are an extremely Active school, engaging in all sports such as athletics, dance, tennis, basketball, GAA to mention a few.

Principal Susan McDonnell welcomed everyone and Fr John Moorehead blessed the flag. Ms Howell spoke about the thorough process they had to go through to get the flag.

Their Special guest on the day Mrs Maria Davis raised the flag along with 6th class student Paidi Yallop.

They finished off the day with an ice cream and a super activity, thanks to Adrian Clancy and Nigel Dunne. They would like to thank their parents for all their support this year and all the teachers for all their hard work and dedication. Mìle Buìochas.
