The Roscrea Scout Group is delighted to announce that this year it will be again supporting the Darkness into Light Walk/Run on the morning of Saturday May 6th.
The event will start and finish at the Scout Hall on Abbey Street. The young Ventures and Rover Scouts will be co-ordinating the event and will be busy over the coming month planning the event.
Anyone wishing to get involved and help out can contact the Group Leader on fminogue76@gmail.com Registration is now open on-line at darknessintolight.ie and open on the Night from 3am.
Over the years since the DIL event was first held in Roscrea thousands of people young and old have come out to support this community event and they would love to see a big number attend this year.
Suicide and self-harm continue to be a serious problem and we need work to raise funds to ensure Pieta can continue to provide its vital service.
