Offaly pharmacy employee wins 'Shining Star' award

Margaret Conroy from Aidan Walsh Allcare Pharmacy in Ferbane has scooped the Health Service Star award cross the entire Allcare Pharmacy network.

Margaret was nominated by her colleague Sarah Fitzmaurice for her continuing efforts to help the needs of their patients at the pharmacy.

Margaret is a dedicated team player and leads the store in excellent patient care and customer service. Particularly during this year’s bad snow, Margaret organised a tractor to get through the snow to bring a stranded patient their medication as well as providing deliveries to patients homes in her on time.

"Margaret has worked with us for a very long time, having been recruited by my late father, T.P. Walsh MPSI in 1976," Aidan Walsh said.

"With her dedication to our customers and their welfare, she absolutely deserves the award," he added.
