Ireland's Got Curves

The event takes place in April

A unique event that aims to celebrate "all shapes and sizes" in Ireland is coming to the ALSAA Centre on the Old Airport Road in Dublin this April 9. "We are delighted and excited to bring you Ireland's Got Curves, a convention for curves that will bring everything plus-size under one roof," a statement from the organisers said.

Tickets for the event are priced at just €5 for the all day event and the organisers are planning a spectacular day, including fashion shows, demonstrations and various guest speakers, such as journalist and author Teena Gates. Cathy O'Connor will offer style advice on the day, while there will be entertainment from Cecilia Dee.

One of the highlights of the day will be the fashion shows and the unveiling of the winner of the ongoing competition to find the 'Face of Ireland's Got Curves.' For the fashionistas in your life on the day, there will be pop-up shops, including some of Ireland's award-winning milliners, the Ireland's Got Curves plus-size Awards, and a photo booth to capture your memories of the day.

"We are embracing all sizes and shapes from size 12 and above," the organisers said, but "don't hesitate to bring along anyone under size 12 too," they concluded.
