Irish Rail forced to run buses in Offaly after train failure
Irish Rail has been forced to operate bus transfers in Offaly following the failure of a freight train on the Galway line near Geashill, Co Offaly.
Services have been affected since around 1.30pm but have now resumed.
Significant delays to Galway and Westport services due to a failed freight train near Geashill. Bus transfers will operate between Portarlington and Tullamore while crews continue to work to move failed train. Further update will follow https://t.co/Slyp3JYr25
