Offaly Dóchas group offer counselling to those affected by CervicalCheck scandal

Offaly's Dócas Cancer Support Group have moved to reassure Offaly women by offering their counselling services to those affected by the recent Cervical Check scandal.

In a statement, they said, "If you have been affected by the Cervical Check controversy that is currently ongoing and need to speak to someone in confidence, please call us or drop into Teach Dóchas where we can offer information and support."

Thousands of Irish women by inaccurate or false negative cervical check test with the HSE confirmed that 18 women affected have now died.

If you need to speak to someone, you can call the Dóchas Offaly Cancer Support Group on 057 9328268.

The group are located at Teach Dóchas, Offaly St, Tullamore and can also be contacted on info@dochasoffaly.ie. The opening hours of the centre itself are 10am to 2pm Monday to Thursday.
