The call is out to find the Offaly Rose for 2018

The search is on and applications are sought for the 2018 Offaly Rose ahead of the Rose of Tralee festival. Offaly woman Jennifer Byrne is the reigning Rose of Tralee having won the crown in the Dome last summer, and she will hand over the Offaly sash to the new Faithful rose in May.

On Saturday evening, May 26 the Offaly Rose hopefuls will gather at the Bridge House Hotel, Tullamore for a night full of entertainment, glamour and above all great fun as we find out who will represent Offaly in Tralee at the Rose of Tralee International Festival.

This year our selection will again be hosted and sponsored by the Bridge House Hotel Tullamore. Roses will appear on stage to speak with MC Ollie Turner, and get an opportunity to do a party piece of their choice if they so wish.

The Offaly Rose will walk away with a host of prizes. She will receive an array of Tipperary Crystal and of course the coveted Offaly Rose Sash and represent Offaly in the dome in Tralee in August.

Offaly Rose Co Ordinator, Steve Cronly, invites all interested girls between the ages of 18 and 27 to participate. Steve commented, "The search continues for the 2018 Offaly Rose. If you or anyone you know would like to apply, all they need to do is complete the relevant form on our website and click on the apply button."

"Those who take part need to prepare themselves the experience of a lifetime and will make great friends along the way. But don't just take it from me, here's what current Rose of Tralee Jennifer Byrne has to say.”

"The friendships you make during the Festival will last a lifetime. Roses and Rose Escorts have been meeting up all over Ireland and it goes to show you the love, friendship, and respect for one another continues long after the Rose of Tralee
Festival. Apply now, or forward to a friend. Good luck," she said.
