5,000 without power in Offaly
Around 5,000 customers are without power in Offaly, according to the ESB.
Around 2,200 customers are hit in South Offaly, including Banagher and Birr.
A similar number are affected in Clara and Tullamore, while around 1,000 customers are in a similar predicament in Edenderry.
There are numerous smaller local outages across the county.
