TULLAMORE Golf Club have launched a new junior girls competition. ‘The Phoenix Girls Trophy’ is set for August 8 at Tullamore Golf Club in 2025 in association with Tullamore Credit Union.

The inaugural tournament will take place at the club’s renowned championship parkland course, welcoming the next generation of talented young female golfers.

The competition invites junior girls of all abilities from across the Midlands and further afield to compete at one of the country’s top 30 parkland courses.

“As we celebrate over a century as one of Ireland’s distinguished golf venues, hosting the inaugural Phoenix Girls Trophy is a milestone for our club and for junior girls' golf nationwide. We look forward to celebrating skill, sportsmanship, and the bright future of girls’ golf in Ireland at Tullamore, ” ,” a Tullamore spokesperson said.

Tullamore Credit Union, sponsoring this event said: “The Phoenix Girls Trophy reflects our own commitment to the growth and promotion of women’s and junior sport within our community".

Event Highlights

Date: Friday, August 8th.

Venue: Tullamore Golf Club, Brookfield, Co. Offaly

Format: 18-hole Gross competition for ‘The Phoenix Trophy’. Net Stableford prizes for 18 or 9 holes.

Open to: Junior female golfers (with GI handicaps) under 18 on January 1, 2025.

Entry fee: members €10, visitors €15 with meal included.
