Gardai in Offaly seized a car from a motorist in the county on Wednesday as part of a National Day of Action in relation to mobile phone use while driving and distracted driving
Members of the Laois/Offaly Roads Policing Unit were on patrol across various locations in the division, focusing on road safety and distracted driving.
Gardai say there were several detections, including nine drivers using a mobile phone while driving, four drivers not wearing a seatbelt and one driver with no insurance who had their vehicle seized under Section 41 of the Road Traffic Act
Gardai in Edenderry seized the vehicle pictured above as the driver had no insurance and no driving licence.
