Burglars steal till from popular pub in Midlands in early hours of the morning

Gardaí are appealing for information in relation to the burglary of a pub in Emo in Laois. 

The burglars broke into The Gate House pub in Emo at around 5am on the morning of Wednesday, September 11. 

Three males aged in their 20s are believed to have been involved in the incident. They gained access through the front door and stole a till containing a sum of money. 

“Gardai are appealing for information on up to three males in their 20's acting suspiciously around the general Emo area during this time,” gardaí said.  

They are also appealing to anyone who may have seen any vehicles acting suspiciously in the area on or around the time of the burglary.

Any information, CCTV or dashcam footage is asked to contact the detective branch at Portlaoise Garda Station on 057 86 74130.
