Brendan Donagher, a regular competitor on the Offaly road racing circuit
THE annual Killeigh School Boys Girls Soccer Club Annual Frank McEvoy Memorial Four Mile Walk/Jog/Run takes place this Friday, September 6 at 6.30pm.
The club is looking for a big turnout from everyone associated with the club, both past and present, and also from the wider Killeigh community who knew Frank.
Registration will take place from 5pm in Killeigh National School and the entry fee for an individual is 10 and for a family is 20.
There will be non monetary prizes for the first three males and females home and after the four-mile walk/jog/run there will be refreshments in the school. There will also be numerous spot prizes to be won.
The Killeigh club committee said: “Young and old are welcome to take part and it would be great to see our team members there with their parents. This is an annual event which is primarily to remember our dear friend Frank. If you can, please come down with the family. You can get the steps in and have a cuppa and a chat afterwards. Hope to see everyone there.”
