GROUP 1 ST RYNAGH'S

Manager – Willie Slevin;

Selectors – Sean Clancy, Christry Slevin, Nigel Dunne;

Captain – Conor Daly;

Retirements/Long term injuries – Joe Carroll has retired and Fergal Hanamy has a long term injury;

New players – Eanna Mulhare, Harry Grant, Michael Boylan, Danny Healy, Aaron Molloy, Niall Flannery, Paul Cannon, Darragh Scully, David Daly;

Last year – Relegated from senior “B”;

Star player – Joey O'Connor;

Prospects – St Rynagh's are in a transition period. They were very poor last year, conceding a walkover in one game and three heavy defeats in the games they did field in. Relegation probably came as a relief from them and going back to intermediate is no bad thing. Cloghan is a very important area for Offaly football, they have contributed powerfully to a lot of county teams and a revival in this area would be very welcome. To do that, they have to go back first and they need to consolidate at intermediate level initially. The graduation of several young players out of minor level should be a big help. Conceding walkovers is a disaster for the club and that needs to be avoided at all costs. They should be difficult to beat at this level but they will also be keeping a wary eye on back to back relegations and they don't look strong enough at the moment to bounce straight back up – though they can't be fully ruled out
