Funeral arrangements have bee confirmed for a local farmer who died in a farm accident in Offaly.

Kevin Carroll of Fordress, Clonaslee died suddenly and unexpectedly on July 4 in the Garryhinch area of Offaly not far from Portarlington.

The deceased lost his life in a workplace accident understood to have happened on farm land in the area. The Health and Safety Authority is investigating.

His passing was confirmed in his death notice which said he is sadly missed by his wife Teresa, son John and daughter Vanessa, daughter-in-law Fiona, son-in-law Martin, grandchildren Alex, Kaylee, Callum, Maeve and Lucy, extened family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

His remains repose at his home on Sunday from 2pm with Rosary at 8pm.

Mr Carrroll's Funeral Mass takes place on Monday at 11am in St Manman’s Church, Clonaslee, with removal afterwards to Newlands Cross Crematorium for cremation at 3pm.
