Met Eireann weather forecast for Ireland for the weekend is not looking good

The Met Eireann weather forecast for Ireland is not looking good with lots of rain in the forecast. According to Met Eireann, the weather will be mixed and changeable through the coming days with temperatures close to or a little below average overall.

According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast, Saturday will be mainly cloudy with outbreaks of rain moving southeastwards over the country at first tomorrow Saturday, but drier in the north with brighter intervals and scattered showers. A mix of sunny spells and scattered showers will develop for the afternoon, with some heavy and possibly thundery downpours. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees. Winds will be mostly light to moderate variable, but fresh to strong and gusty westerly for a time in the west and southwest, with winds becoming mainly light to moderate northwest in the evening.

Any remaining showers will soon die out on Saturday night and it will become dry in most places with long clear spells developing. A few mist and fog patches will form and it'll become cloudy in parts of the north and west overnight with patchy outbreaks of rain and drizzle developing in these parts. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees, with winds decreasing mostly light westerly.

According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast for Ireland, Sunday will bring a mix of weather across the country. It'll most likely be cloudy across the northern parts of the country with outbreaks of rain, with some heavy bursts. Brighter further south with sunny spells, but scattered showers too, some heavy with a chance of isolated thunderstorms. Highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees, warmest in the sunshine in the south, in mostly light to moderate westerly winds. Becoming mostly dry in the east and south on Sunday night with clear spells. Cloudier further west and north with patchy light rain and drizzle. Lows of 9 to 12 degrees in light to moderate northwest breezes.
