LIVE TRACKER: Follow Storm Debi as it bears down on Ireland amid warnings
Storm Debi is bearing down on Ireland and has prompted Met Éireann to issue a number of warnings, including two Status Red Wind Warnings for counties in the west and the Midlands.
Met Eireann is warning of potential danger to life as Storm Debi is set to hit Ireland in the early hours of the morning.
Met Eireann has issued a number of Status Red Weather Warning with the powerful Atlantic storm set to hit the country.
There is a Status Red Wind Warning for Clare, east Galway, south Roscommon from 3am to 5am and a Status Red Wind Warning for Offaly and Westmeath from 5am to 7am on Monday.
Met Eireann is warning that it will be extremely gusty on Sunday night and early Monday due to Storm Debi with potential danger to life.
Possible impacts are damage to exposed and vulnerable structures, disruption to services and transport, significant power outages and fallen trees/branches.
There is also a Status Orange Wind Warning for Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Wicklow, Cavan, Monaghan, Clare, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Galway and Roscommon
It warns that it will be unusually stormy on Sunday night and Monday due to Storm Debi with severe and damaging gusts.
Possible impacts are damage to exposed and vulnerable structures, dangerous travelling conditions, disruption to services, damage to power lines and fallen trees or branches. This warning is in place from 2am until 10am.
There is also a Status Yellow Wind & Rain warning for Ireland with Met Eireann warning of very windy or stormy conditions on Sunday night and Monday due to Storm Debi, accompanied by heavy rain with a chance of embedded thunderstorms and hail. This warning comes into place at midnight and remains in place until 3pm.
