'Easy to miss' - Signpost in the Slieve Bloom that went viral has been replaced
A leisure spot's signpost in the Slieve Bloom that first made headlines for all the wrong reasons back in 2015, and crops its head up at least once a year since, is no more with a new sign taking its place.
Nestled in the Slieve Bloom mountainside, The Cut is often regarded as one of Laois and indeed the country's hidden gems and is an ideal area to sit back on the benches or picnic tables and take in the scenic view.
However, it sporadically made waves online due to its unfortunate choice of font on the sign at the entrance, which many interpreted as a very different word.

So much so that even Jackass star Johnny Knoxville posted the below to his 4.3 million Instagram followers back in 2017:

And now the beautiful recreation area is back in the spotlight again after a new signpost was installed recently, replacing its controversial predecessor.

While the new sign certainly has a more legible font and the welcome addition of the Irish translation, we doubt it will reach the same level of notoriety as the original.
