WATCH: Offaly pub rocking as midweek wedding and familiar faces roll into town

An Offaly pub was rocking this week as it held the reception of a wedding that looked like mighty craic.

The wedding welcomed familiar faces to the Chestnut Bar in Birr as singers Ellen Lynch and Steve Hogan tied the knot. 

Ellen and Steve are popular singers and have been performing in Lanzarote for a number of years so are familiar to many Irish holidaymakers. They've also previously played the Chestnut in Birr.

The pair booked The Wilful as their own wedding band and they had the place hopping on Tuesday evening. 

Guests were having the time of their lives in clips shared online by the pub and the happy couple. 

Hits like Maniac 2000 and I Want It That Way by the Backstreet Boys featured on a foot-stomping set.
