Online planning will streamline the system in Offaly
Online planning is going live in Offaly County Council from Tuesday, June 27 as part of the national programme for Local Government Ireland Planning System to streamline the planning application process.
Director of Services with Offaly County Council, Ann Dillon confirmed “applicants and/or their agents can register for their own account and submit a planning application online, including making a payment.”
Ms Dillon further advised “Planning applications submitted electronically are available to view online only. Applicants / agents and/or interested parties can view online -applications and make a submission on a planning application which has been submitted electronically via the online system.”
“Offaly County Council is delighted to be part of the Local Government Online Planning Portal as Ireland’s planning sector moves towards a paperless and environmentally friendly system where applicants have 24/7 access to their planning applications” concluded Ms Dillon.
Senior Executive Officer in the Planning Department, Caroline Dempsey advised that “Offaly County Council will share an informative ‘how to’ guide via our social media platforms to inform every one of the online planning process.” Offaly County Council are active on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram.
