Two people are being treated in hospital following a two car collision in Edgeworthstown today
Two people were hospitalised on Friday following a two car collision outside Edgeworthstown in Longford.
The collision took place around a mile outside Edgeworthstown at around 2:30pm.
It has been reported that one of the cars involved left the road and overturned in a nearby field.
A garda spokesperson confirmed two people were brought by ambulance to hospital for treatment.
"Gardaí attended the scene of a two-vehicle road traffic collision in Kilsallagh, Edgeworthstown, Co. Longford this afternoon, Friday 31st March 2023 at approximately 2.30pm. Material damage was caused to both vehicles. Two persons were taken to hospital. Enquiries are ongoing."
