Talented young Musician from well know band going for Offaly Rose of Tralee

A multi-talented young musician from a well know local band is among those hoping to be crowned the Offaly Rose of Tralee this year.

Ballycumber's Katelynn Kelly gets acknowledged for her hard work. You could meet her anywhere - from working full time in a coffee shop Kafe U in Clara to playing on stage anywhere in Ireland.

Katelynn gigs with a lively Irish music band three or four nights a week. She plays banjo, fiddle and sings in the band 'The Jiggers of Eireann'.

The band is well known for sharing the stage with excellent musicians such as All Folk'D Up, The Whistling Donkeys and The Tumbling Paddies.

Katelynn is described as a very lighthearted person and is always up for a laugh.

She won't be short supporters of supporters on Selection Night as she is from a large family of eighteen and will be boosted by the support from her family and friends from her hometown of Ballycumber and her music family from near and far.

This year’s Offaly Rose Selection night will take place on Saturday, April 29 in the Tullamore Court Hotel.
